The Foreign Language Association of Virginia (FLAVA) and Idioma Education & Consulting are proud to announce a new partnership beginning in 2026 in support of world language educators and learners across the Commonwealth of Virginia and beyond. United by the shared belief that proficiency in more than one language is essential to a world-class education, both organizations are committed to empowering educators with the knowledge, tools, and support needed to help all students reach high levels of language proficiency and intercultural competence. FLAVA’s mission to advocate for and advance high-quality, standards-based language and culture instruction from the earliest grades through postsecondary education aligns seamlessly with Idioma’s commitment to providing accessible, practical, and high-impact professional learning for educators. Together, FLAVA and Idioma strive to cultivate a vibrant professional community that supports educators at every stage of their journey and strengthens world language programs throughout Virginia.
