
Open Registration- Self Paced Course
The overall goal of this course is for teachers to develop an understanding of differentiate content, activities and assessments to meet the needs of all learners. Designed to meet the Re-certification requirement of for training in strategies for effective schooling for students with disabilities and instruction of students with diverse learning styles. Teachers have 1 month from date of registration to complete the online course material at their own pace.
Language students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and abilities. As a result, students within a class have many different needs. This course explores many strategies that allow teachers to meet a wide variety of student needs, including understanding how students learn, creating more equitable assessments, giving students opportunities for choice, and creating scaffolded tasks to work towards proficiency. Teachers will come away with effective strategies and having designed activities and assessments that they can use immediately in their classes.
