Course Dates and Times: Thursdays 6:00-8:00PM in October

This is a five-week course with each session involving direct student/teacher interaction. The material covers both reading comprehension and writing skills through an analysis of the SAT. Students learn close reading strategies as well as grammar and language lessons through taking SAT exams as well as through mini-lessons. In addition, students write a narrative piece that is similar to the college admissions essay as well as a persuasive essay and an essay that analyzes the devices an author uses to create a strong essay. Each week, students write an essay which is graded before the next class. The required text is The College Board SAT Book 2020 edition.
The course is open to all students entering their 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade years.
All other Course Material will be provided through individual student accounts using Idioma's Schoology Learning Management System.
Tuition: $350 per person or group rate of $1600 for 5 or more students
