🤝 Attend Our Roundtable Session
Don’t miss our roundtable session, “Teacher Recruitment Strategies That Build Sustainable World Language Programs” lead by Idioma’s Dr. Mellissia Walles and Elisa Kirschhoffer. Language programs succeed when recruitment becomes a shared responsibility rather than a single department initiative. This interactive session explores grassroots initiatives that cultivate interest in language teaching among high school students, university candidates, paraprofessionals, heritage language speakers, and community members. Participants will examine successful recruitment strategies that strengthen the educator pipeline, including student leadership programs, alternate route teaching certification & licensure pathways, university partnerships, and community engagement efforts. Throughout this session, attendees will explore strategies for recruiting world language teachers towards creating a long-term vision for world language program sustainability.
