This course focuses on the use of language itself while exploring what is characteristic of German in terms of grammar and practical use. Participants will explore what is important to know about grammatical structures in order to explain to our students how the German language works. Keeping in mind the communication purpose, participants will look at how to introduce grammar in various contexts of practical use. This class will focus on grammatical topics integrated with the modes of communication - interpersonal, interpretive and presentational. Moreover, participants will examine how grammar is introduced in authentic materials and how these materials can be used and modified in a variety of proficiency levels. Conducted in German.
